N Who we are
LongAgony.com was created in May 2007 by Erigo and Nicholas, Newsky Group holders and owners of Newsky.it.
Both sites are located in Italy.
We built this little site as an international showcase for the tests we created and presented in the aforementioned site: here you basically find the English translation of Newsky.it Deathclock section (missing of some parts).
N Help us!
We know that the translation provided in this site is not perfect. If you find any mistake, misspelling, sentences that could be made clearer, or anything else that could be improved, please tell us via e-mail (there's a link at the top-right corner of each page).
We also welcome every feedback, suggestion, advice, comment, criticism, question, that you would like to share with us and which may help us improving this site and the three tests. :-)
N Legal notes, privacy and the usual stuff
Newsky Group © 2007
All the rights about LongAgony.com in its totality, so to include all the pages, HTML and JavaScript code and graphical components constituting it, except for the Did you know? section, are entirely reserved for the Newsky Group. For the ones living in the desolate lands of legal illiteracy, this means that no one can sell, distribute, transmit or publish in any direct or indirect way this product or its parts, nor reverse-engineer, decode, modify or use it as a base for own works, without the authors' written permission.
In particoular, The Socialclock and The Destinyclock are original ideas of the Newsky Group, of which we are pretty jealous (clear enough?...).
Did you know? contents come from Wikipedia and other sites linked at the bottom of the relevant pages.
If for some reason you feel that some of the materials published within this site damage your authorship, please contact us and we'll see to remove them.
Just to make it clear, we do not collect, store, share, sell, or whatever else, any personal information you may enter in the tests, include in the "certificates", or email us. If you want to take the time to look into the code, you'll see that all data you insert is not even sent us in any way.
We take no responsibility on the consequences of the use of this program: we confide in users' intelligence(?) for the obviousness of the fact that this is just a joke, not scientific at all: you might live far more (or far less...) than the Deathclock's prediction; we wish no one will have a heart failure... Neither we accept any responsibility for potential sadistic tricks played with the support of this product.
N Acknowledgements
We'd like to thank:
- Raymond Camden, owner of the original Deathclock from which we first got the idea, having he denied us the permission to use his (and, wanna make comparisons? ours' much better! :-P );
- Wikipedia, for the information included in the Did you know? section;
- Dante Alighieri, whose truculent "Divina commedia" gave us inspiration for Destinyclock's Skies and Circles, along with the respective tortures;
- the man with the black cloak and the scythe, for his punctuality in making the prophecies made by our program come true;
- God, whose sadism leads us to wonder when will it come to an end this sorrowful earthly fragment, inserted into a even more painful eternal infinity;
- all timewasters like you for the contribution provided to science, and without whom this site would be of no use.
Thank you all. :-)
